Milford, NH - Liane L. Schubring, RN, BSN, MBA/MHA, CHCE, Executive Director, Souhegan Home & Hospice Care, has been appointed by the National Association for Home Care and Hospice (NAHC) to their Voluntary Homecare Association and Home Medical Equipment Association advisory boards as well as their Adult Day Care Task Force.
The role of the Voluntary Homecare Association Advisory Board is to solicit information and recommendations from community, voluntary, non-profit provider members of NAHC regarding legislative, regulatory, legal, and educational issues that affect the home care industry. Also the Advisory Board organizes a workshop at the NAHC Annual Meetings (in March) to respond to the educational needs of community providers and to serve as a gathering place for members to network with each other.
The Home Medical Equipment Association of America Advisory Board was created to address the issues of home care providers who offer home medical equipment and related supplies in the home. In addition to her duties with Souhegan Home & Hospice Care, Ms. Schubring also serves as Executive Director of Granite State Mediquip, an affiliated durable medical equipment company in Nashua.
The purpose of the Adult Day Care Task Force is to encourage a closer working relationship between home care agencies and adult day services. This Task Force was created in 1993 in response to a petition from NAHC membership who saw home care agencies and adult day care centers as natural partners in caring for older citizens. In addition to her duties above, Ms. Schubring also serves as Executive Director of the St. Joseph Adult Day Heath Center, 460 Amherst St in Nashua.
Ms. Schubring has more than 15 years experience in home and hospice care services, and has served as Executive Director for Souhegan Home & Hospice Care since 1999. Her one-year tenure on these groups begins during NAHC’s Annual Policy Conference in Washington, D.C. from March 30 through April 2.
